Cleaning and making safe the green area of Platamona, along the route traced for the eleventh edition of the Gran Prix Massimo Melis – Challenger Biemme ethical sport, the mountain bike race which took place on Friday 2 June.

Inside the pine forest, in the Porto Torres area, the organizers of the event, the managers of the Cycling Team Progetto Sport company, collected the tapes used to delimit the race track.

"A private area which, as required by agreements with the owner of the pine forest, we can clean up within a week of the date of the event, as we have always done in the last ten years", underlines Angelo Gallozza, president of the sports club.

The tapes had been left in the pine forest last Friday, with the intention of collecting them in the following days. Six huge sacks with the material inside, a long blue band with indicators of the route covered by the various athletes, participating in the competition in the various categories, including 23 Grand Prix champions who were awarded the medal for the results achieved.

«We would like to thank all those who have given us support for the success of the event», added Gallozza, «the young people who competed with such tenacity by coloring the various steps of the event, and the municipal administrations of Porto Torres and Sassari , the Province and the owner of the pine forest, with whom we will carry out a further check to make sure that the area has been completely cleaned up".
