A thirty-year-old was rescued this afternoon by 118 personnel in Pirri, in via Monsignor Virgilio, for a wound to his stomach caused by a sharp object.

Initially it was feared that the injuries, following an attack, were particularly serious: the injured man was taken to Brotzu with a red code assigned. Luckily the doctors ascertained that they were superficial wounds: the man will survive with seven days of treatment.

The agents of the Flying Squad, who intervened in the hospital for the first checks, and the investigators of the Mobile are working on the episode. It is yet to be established what caused the wound: whether a knife or another sharp object. The thirty-year-old has not yet reported anything to the police.

The attack, which probably arose after a heated argument, would have occurred in a different place from the point where the man was rescued.
