On Friday 28 February, from 11 am, the Ex Distilleria di Pirri in via Italia - home of the House of Emerging Technologies DLab Cagliari - hosts the Benchmark Day. The event, of strategic importance for startups and players in the innovation ecosystem, is organized by Crea UniCa (University Service Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship), as part of the Cagliari Digital Lab Acceleration Program. It is funded by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (Mimit) and is part of the events promoted by Crea as part of the 2025 innovation and public engagement activities.
"Benchmark Day represents a unique opportunity for local startups to meet with international investors, receive direct feedback on their journey and refine their growth strategies," explains Maria Chiara Di Guardo, director of Crea. "But not only that. It is also a crucial moment for the consolidation of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through discussions with investors and industry experts, startups will have the opportunity to refine their business model and expand their development prospects. Benchmark Day is designed to create an active dialogue between startups, researchers, investors and industry professionals , helping to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Sardinia and beyond." The meeting will also offer an opportunity for qualified networking, encouraging the exchange of skills and experiences between the main players in the technological ecosystem.
Participation in the event is free, but registration is required using the link available on the Crea UniCa website (www.crea.unica.it). The Benchmark Day will see the participation of internationally renowned investors, experts in the venture capital sector and emerging technologies . Their presence will offer startups the opportunity to obtain strategic feedback and operational ideas for their growth path. Michele Cermele (Proximity Capital, director of Cte Molise), Domenico Nesci (Deep Ocean Capital Sgr), Alfredo Adamo (CEO of Frontiere and Alan Advantage) and Marco De Guzzis (Italian Angels for Growth) will take part in the event.
