Numerous shots, over thirty. The ones to the chest were fatal. The autopsy confirmed this clear picture starting Thursday afternoon, when Giuseppe Pinna died after a furious attack by his son Paolo .

The autopsy , performed by coroner Roberto Demontis, on the 78-year-old's body lasted over five hours . A thorough examination confirmed the brutality of an attack with a screwdriver: blows to the abdomen and chest, the ones that caused death within minutes were inflicted on the thorax. There were also defensive wounds on the arms .

Further investigations will now be carried out while the prosecutor Silvia Mascia has ordered the return of the body to the family.

Meanwhile, the house on Via Pischedda remains under seizure while the investigation by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit and the Macomer Company, led by Captain Giovan Maria Seu, continues .

The validation hearing for Pinna, assisted by his court-appointed attorney Federica Largiu, is expected to be held on Monday.

Tomorrow, the entire community of Bosa will come together to pay their last respects to the retiree. The funeral will be held at 3:30 pm in the Cathedral.
