«I'm alive by a miracle» . Gian Franco Pilloni, a well-known entrepreneur from Ogliastra who has lived in the city for some time, and Grand Master of the Umsoi Masonic Grand Lodge of Italy, had a serious accident. He was run over by a car, driven by an elderly woman, as he was crossing the pedestrian crossing in via Roma , under his office.

The details are not known: when he was overwhelmed, Pilloni was in the company of his son, who however did not suffer any consequences. He is now hospitalized at Brotzu, in the emergency surgery department, with eight broken ribs, a head injury, a fractured left shoulder and right leg.

The entrepreneur himself gave the news of the accident on Facebook "to reassure all friends and acquaintances". "My phone rings all the time, but it's not in my possession because I can't and I'm not in a position to keep it in the hospital."

The story

And he says: «Unfortunately, while I was crossing on the pedestrian crossing under my office, I was run over by a car driven by a lady. Surely, thanks to the poor visibility, also due to the rain, he didn't see me, overwhelming me and throwing me 30 meters away , as my son told me, who narrowly escaped being hit too. I apologize to all the friends who call me: unfortunately I suffered, in addition to the fracture of my leg, those of my left shoulder and eight ribs. This injury in particular doesn't allow me to make any effort, not even to speak: I can hardly breathe. If I speed up my breathing I get hallucinating pains. The good thing is that, despite having suffered a head trauma, with a slight fracture, I have not been found any internal injuries. The same goes for the other vital organs of the abdomen .'

The post on Facebook

Pilloni answered the telephone to the reporter who contacted him: he confirmed the accident and thanked "the doctors in the emergency room and in the emergency surgery department, for the treatment they gave me". And again: «I sincerely thank the medical director, who came to visit me. How could a heartfelt thanks go to my Guardian Angel, the president of the municipal council of Cagliari Edoardo Tocco? God bless you. But above all, I thank God and the Saints who protected me, because it could have ended much worse».
