Fuel prices on the island remain at very high levels, while the differences between the price lists applied by the various distributors in the Region are growing.

Adiconsum Sardegna has compared the latest prices communicated by the island's managers to the Ministry of Enterprise, drawing up the ranking of the five most expensive distributors in Sardinia and the cheapest ones.

The latest tariffs in force between yesterday and 12 today were examined. The most expensive petrol station is in Cagliari, where a liter of petrol in served mode is sold at 2.349 euros, while diesel costs 2.389 euros per litre , explains the president of the association Giorgio Vargiu.

Prices above 2.3 euros per liter also in Arbus, a municipality where diesel is sold for 2.387 euros in one distributor, 2.381 in another. Arzachena follows with 2.299 euros for the diesel served, then Olbia at 2.277 euros .

The diesel with the cheapest price is found in Quartu Sant'Elena (1.794 per liter in served mode). Prices under 1.8 euros also in Serrenti and Iglesias, 1.798 and 1.799 respectively .

«It is interesting to note how the price differences between the various operators can reach high levels, even a few kilometers away: between the most expensive distributor (Cagliari) and the least expensive one (Quartu Sant'Elena) the difference in price for diesel in served mode it is a good 59.5 euro cents, despite the fact that just 7 km separate the two pumps - observes Vargiu -. This means that by carefully choosing the station where to refuel, a motorist saves up to 29.7 euros on a full tank, which on an annual basis is equivalent to a lower cost, assuming two full tanks a month, equal to 714 euros ».
