A conference to celebrate the centenary of the discovery of the sacred well of Predio Canopoli will be held on Friday 1 December in Perfugas , starting at 10am, in the conference centre.

The morning program, which will be moderated by the journalist Mauro Tedde, will be opened by institutional greetings from the mayor Giovanni Filiziu. Also speaking will be the councilor for culture Sofia Maxia, the superintendent for the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro Bruno Billeci, the archaeological official Pina Corraine and the regional councilor for culture Andrea Biancareddu.

Reports are expected from the archaeologist Nadia Canu, the architects Franco Campus, Gabriele Manca and Donatella De Rinaldis, and the restorer Charolotte Montanaro which will concern the "excavation and restoration interventions at the sacred well of Perfugas".

In the afternoon, moderated by Professor Piero Prunetti, the archaeologist and president of the "Sa Rundine" cooperative society of Perfugas Vittoria Pilo will speak and will discuss the theme "The sacred well and its valorisation"; the president of the association "Sardinia towards UNESCO" Pierpaolo Vargiu; the archaeologist Matteo Pischedda who will talk about the "Sacred Well of Predio Canopoli di Perfugas: from its discovery to the path towards UNESCO". The architect Serena Noemi Cappai will illustrate "The constructive harmony of the sacred well of Predio Canopoli", while the professional photographer Nicola Castangia and the archaeologist Giorgio Murru will talk about the well temple of Sant'Anastasia in Sardara. Finally Piero Prunetti will give the talk entitled "Communicating archaeology: knowledge of the past and cultural heritage in the education of new generations".

Also scheduled are performances by the "Matteo Peru" choir and the traditional dance group "Ballu Sardu Balar" from Perfugas .
