The country's solidarity was not long in coming after the drama. On Friday a fire destroyed the kitchen of the historic restaurant La Ruota, a family-run establishment of Flavio Deiana.
Material damage but fortunately no one was injured. In a flash, the support of the population arrived. Two fundraisers for the reconstruction of the restaurant have started a few hours ago on the citizens' spontaneous initiative.
One is already active on gofund.me (just access the platform and search with the magnifying glass for "Let's rebuild the La Ruota restaurant" to make your contribution), the second will be carried out in all the shops in the town. Special boxes for donations will be placed in each shop and bar. A hand extended to La Ruota also by fellow restaurateurs.
The managers of the Civico 10 pizzeria have opened the door of their kitchen to the Deianas. A significant contribution to help them get back to work. "We had no doubts that our community would respond in this way - explains Mayor Bruno Chillotti - we are enthusiastic and proud of the people of Foghesi".
