Pensioner dies in Buddusò quarry, investigation into trolley collapse

The investigations into the death of Pietro Bua already have a precise direction , the prosecutor of Sassari, Paolo Piras, is working on the hypothesis of the structural failure of the trolley used in the Biralò quarry for the movement of granite blocks and slabs.

The magistrate is waiting for the reports of the Spresal (labor inspectors) of the ASL of Olbia and the Carabinieri of the Ozieri Company. Pietro Bua, 73 years old, was crushed by a slab that suddenly came loose from the trolley. The investigations are complex, the judicial police must verify (and an expert opinion will be necessary) if there was a breakdown of the machinery or a problem in its use.

As a necessary step, the legal representatives of Bua Graniti, the company that owns the site where the tragedy occurred, were reported to the Sassari Prosecutor's Office. They are two close relatives of the victim. An autopsy has been ordered on the pensioner's body.
