Healthcare, the nomination war: appeals against the managers of the Cagliari and Olbia local health authorities.

Appointments to healthcare agencies are once again at the center of political debate. And they continue to be a matter of scrutiny for judges. Today, as expected, Marcello Tidore (former director general of the Cagliari Local Health Authority, dismissed as a result of the commissioners deemed unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court) filed an appeal against Aldo Atzori 's February 23rd appointment to Local Health Authority 8. Marcello Acciaro (against the appointment of Antonio Irione in Olbia) and former Areus Director General Simonetta Cinzia Bettelini did the same.
These are extraordinary appeals to the President of the Republic. Tidore and Acciaro's appeals have significant political significance: the appointments of Atzori and Iovine were the cause of the rift between the Democratic Party and the Regional President. On February 23, the Democrats had deserted the Regional Council, believing the appointment resolutions to be fraught with legal uncertainty, given that "the two healthcare agencies are involved in ongoing disputes with general managers improperly dismissed in April." These former general managers have now filed an appeal.
According to the document presented by Tidore, the February resolution and the September resolution, which called for a selection process to draw up shortlists of suitable candidates for the position of general manager in Sardinian healthcare companies, are to be annulled, subject to prior suspension. The appeal requests the immediate restoration of the pre-dismissal situation.
