An employee of the Arzachena CUP was attacked yesterday morning inside the Community House on Via Jaseppa di Scanu.

The perpetrator is believed to be a 52-year-old man from Luogosanto, who, at the end of a long line at the office to choose a GP, reacted violently when the employee asked him to produce the necessary documentation to start the process.

According to the Porto Cervo police station's reconstruction, the man, after cursing the woman, allegedly threw a chair at her, but did not injure her . The workstation, computer, and other furniture were damaged.

The man was located thanks to witnesses and reported, while the employee was taken to the emergency room for checks.

The Gallura Local Health Authority (ASL) management intervened in the incident: "This is unacceptable. In addition to the employee, the entire professional community, who work with commitment and responsibility every day to serve the public, is being emotionally affected. Incidents of verbal and physical aggression cannot and must not have any place in healthcare facilities, out of respect for those who work to provide services to users and those who come to receive assistance," reads the statement released by the ASL.
