Agreement reached between the Region and the unions of free-choice paediatricians on the 137 disadvantaged and extremely disadvantaged offices in Sardinia .
More advantageous economic conditions are arriving for doctors with permanent positions. The new offices were identified according to compliance with at least 5 of the 7 criteria established by the regional guidelines. The agreement is valid for 3 years and has found the consent of the acronyms present at the table. Confirmed 96 disadvantaged locations for pediatrics already active, to which are added a further 41 locations, including disadvantaged and very disadvantaged .

"An important result - declares the regional health councilor, Carlo Doria - to recognize an economic incentive for pediatricians who choose to work in those objectively disadvantaged locations due, for example, to connections or their distance from hospitals and where today there is greater difficulty in finding doctors willing to hold positions».

For professionals there is an additional monthly salary of 800 euros for disadvantaged offices and 1,400 euros for extremely disadvantaged offices . "We have deployed important resources: 600,000 euros a year from the regional budget", explains Doria, and "this has allowed us to confirm the already active offices, including all those that today fall within the established parameters".
