Four former Sardinian regional councilors of the UDC were convicted of embezzlement by the judges of the first criminal section of the court of Cagliari (college chaired by Tiziana Maronga) as part of the investigation into the funds destined for the group and which involved about eighty ladies of the XIII and XIV legislatures.

This is the former parliamentarian Roberto Capelli, for whom the prosecutor Marco Cocco had requested the acquittal, sentenced to two years and 4 months in prison together with Sergio Marracini. Two months longer than Franco Ignazio Sisinnio Cuccu and Antonio Cappai. Instead, the positions of the leader of the centrist party in Sardinia, Giorgio Oppi, and of the brothers Alberto and Vittorio Randazzo, as well as those previously of Andrea Biancareddu and Salvatore Amadu, were removed and declared prescribed.
