The paving stones of via Roma, in Cagliari , taken with the bucket of a bulldozer and unloaded on the flatbed of a truck without too many compliments: it happens on the construction site for the reconstruction of the road which, in the Municipality's plans, will have to go back to being the living room good of the city.

So far part of the historic surface has been dismantled: the stones are removed to be transferred to a square in via San Paolo, where they are catalogued. The images of the heavy vehicle in action have aroused more than a few perplexities.

The company that is carrying out the intervention, according to reports from the municipal offices, does not have the obligation to number each piece: it is done only with those that will cover the edges of the future roadway. Furthermore, not all of them will return to their places, because the road will be narrow: some could be reinstalled on the other side of the tree-lined section which will be built on the basis of the architect Boeri's project.

As for the methods of the sampling intervention, the manager of the Viability Service of the Municipality, Daniele Olla, assures: " We are monitoring the construction site, the procedures are going ahead in compliance with the rules and with the constant monitoring of the Superintendence".
