Cgil and Cisl Fp and Uil Fpl denounce overcrowding in the emergency room and in the medical and cardiology area of the Aou of Sassari . In a letter addressed, among others, to the regional health councilor Armando Bartolazzi, the unions underline how, together with overcrowding, «the increase in workloads is compromising the quality of care and patient safety, in addition to exposing workers to increasingly high risks».

The Company, the triad reports, "is under unprecedented pressure, with approximately 70 additional beds, including stretchers and temporary beds located in every area of the hospital ." Insufficient human and logistical resources, according to the unions, cannot cope with the growth in the number of patients and the stress of employees, which also leads to cases of burnout, can no longer be ignored.

"There is a serious compromise - they write in the letter - of the fundamental rights of patients". Their dignity and privacy, they specify, would in fact be compromised. " In many areas the organizational promiscuity is such that it does not guarantee safety, exposing patients to a higher risk of infections ".

Given the context, Cgil-Cisl-Uil are calling for "a reorganization plan that includes an increase in resources with new hires and a better distribution of space ". And with an appeal launched to the heads of the institutions, they are asking that "the necessary measures be adopted to restore the efficiency and safety of the health system".
