The ownership of the Saras refinery in Sarroch officially changes hands: from the Moratti family to the Dutch company Vitol. The operation was carried out by the Varas spa, which exceeded the threshold of 50% of the capital through a public purchase offer.
It's when you read it in a press note. «The Offeror announces that it has exceeded today, taking into account the 19,549,922 Saras shares (equal to 2.056% of the Issuer's share capital) tendered to the Offer up to today and the 466,133,360 shares Saras already held by the Offeror (equal to 49.015% of the Issuer's share capital) as of today the threshold of 50% of the Issuer's share capital, thus holding a total of no. 485,683,282 Saras shares, equal to 51.071% of the Issuer's share capital and therefore legal control over the Issuer, i.e. the majority of voting rights in Saras' Shareholders' Meetings".
The acceptance period for the Offer will end on August 9th. The operation is aimed at acquiring the entire share capital. Otherwise, you will have to proceed with a merger by incorporation, which requires 55% of the capital. The ball remains in the market.
