Humiliations, insults, and repeated beatings for ten long years. Until... A month ago, the woman found the courage to seek help. After filing a complaint and conducting an investigation, the court issued the following orders: a ban on her residence in the town and her access to her ex-wife, and an electronic tag.

The story

It was the 40-year-old woman who reconstructed the escalation of violence she had endured over time. The ordeal began in 2016, when she was pregnant : an argument over a mistake in scheduling a medical appointment and that violent slap while they were in the hospital elevator were the first in a series of abuses. From that moment on, the unsuspecting educator, often under the influence of alcohol and drugs (according to what also emerges from the precautionary measure), never stopped. The incidents were numerous, from pushing his wife off the couch to insults. The birth of their son and marriage did not change the routine. In fact, the atmosphere had become more tense, so much so that the 55-year-old had resorted to violent acts even while his wife was holding the newborn.

An increasingly difficult and dangerous cohabitation, marked by insults and obsessive control from the man , who sought to limit his wife's freedom and financial independence. Two years ago in September, during yet another argument, the young son tried to shield his mother, begging his father not to hurt her . Tensions escalated until last January, when the woman took her son and ran out into the street. She wanted to take refuge at her parents' house, and then filed a complaint.

Investigators reconstructed the incident, interviewed family members and friends, and submitted a detailed file to the Prosecutor's Office. Prosecutor Valerio Bagattini requested a ban on residence and contact with the man. Judge Serena Corrias ordered the 55-year-old to maintain a distance of one kilometer from his ex-wife, avoid any contact with her, and ordered him to wear an electronic bracelet.
