Twenty-one investigated in Oristano, including eight foreigners, for aiding illegal immigration and impersonation.

Bypassing the 2024 flow decree, they would have started the procedures to bring 120 people from Southeast Asia into Italy, using the data of some companies operating in the Oristano area.

Two separate investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the Carabinieri of the Oristano Labor Inspectorate, resulted in 21 names being registered as suspects.

The two groups allegedly circumvented the 2024 flows decree, which allows employers who need foreign workers to employ in their companies to request the entry of non-EU workers into Italian territory.

«The suspects - explain the Carabinieri - presented false requests for authorization to subordinate employment to the Single Immigration Desk of Oristano, fraudulently using the data of some unsuspecting companies operating in the province of Oristano».

The Carabinieri investigations were triggered following reports received from employees of the Immigration One-Stop Shop, who had noticed some anomalies in the regularization requests.
