The San Martino di Oristano CT scan is out of order. Yet another technical failure has sent the machinery into a tailspin and, while waiting for repairs, the whole area finds itself without a fundamental service: the one at the Bosa hospital was dismantled a few days ago but has not yet been replaced.
The signs of the CT malfunction came on Friday morning. Initially it was thought to be a software problem, but then it was discovered that a part had broken and needed to be replaced. The report was immediately sent from the Radiology department, the company has already ordered the replacement but it will take two or three days before any work can be done on the machine.
«Now CT scans are out of order throughout the province», underline the Committee for the right to health, «the one in San Martino is broken, in Bosa the old one has been dismantled and the new one isn't there yet. Furthermore, there are problems in San Gavino too, we just need to hope that in these days no one is ill or needs a CT scan."
A difficult situation also because the new Tac, purchased in 2019 and costing around 700 thousand euros, never came into operation. In recent days the ASL has assured that it will be operational within a month, in the meantime chaos reigns.
