Death threats, spitting and elbowing the police. The intervention of the officers in the historic center of Oristano during the checks for Sartiglia ended with the arrest of a 36-year-old.

On the night of February 13th, the man was throwing violent punches against some barriers in Piazza Roma. When he saw the uniforms, he showed signs of agitation and nervousness, with a threatening attitude, spitting several times at the policemen and refusing to show an identity document.

Invited to move to a less crowded area, he resisted, hitting the operators with violent elbows and pushes. Taken to the police station for photo identification, he went into a rage, threatening the officers with death and causing damage to the offices. He was immobilized and arrested.

The man, already known to the police and recipient of the security measure of the oral warning from the Police Commissioner, has numerous criminal records behind him for attempted murder, drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.

Last New Year's Eve he was reported for being found in possession of a switchblade and a pair of scissors in the streets of the historic center of the city.
