The Municipality feels the goal is within reach. Oristano is making the final push toward June 30, 2026, with 41 NRRP interventions and an overall positive state of progress.
According to data recorded as of March 31, some urban regeneration projects have already been completed, such as Piazza Manno, Campo Tharros, and the Su Brugu neighborhood. Other construction sites are now on the verge of completion, with Piazza Mariano and the Torre Grande recreational areas well over 90% complete, while the Garau Theater is over 80%. Projects remain advanced but unfinished: the Torre Grande bike path is around 78% complete, and work in the historic center is just over 70%. Further behind is the former Student Residence, which is just over 50% complete but remains considered salvageable.
The Pinqua program, worth over €15 million, includes projects already completed and others well advanced. Among the most significant, the redevelopment of Silì's open spaces is around 70% complete, while projects in the surrounding hamlets are between 70% and 80%. Construction on the Sustainability and Community Houses is slower, at between 60% and 65%.
The only critical issue concerns Piazza Sant'Antonino in Donigala, where work has stalled following the termination of the contract with the contractor. The Municipality aims to quickly unblock the construction site to complete the remaining work.
"The picture emerging from the Public Works and Territorial Development sectors is positive," emphasized Public Works Councilor Gianfranco Licheri. "All projects will be completed by June 30, 2026, and will be fully functional. Only minor work may remain unfinished, without impacting the use of the facilities."
