In the clinic of Oristano the dog had been rescued, subjected to surgery and had overcome the first difficult night. Yesterday when he woke up a rather worrying edema in the neck, then today the situation worsened.

The CT scan report spoke of a collapse of the larynx, "the bites inflicted on the neck have caused the crushing of the cartilages that are blocking the passage of air hour after hour" the veterinarians explained on the Facebook page. The only hope would have been an emergency tracheostomy, but Sciarpino decided otherwise and passed away surrounded by affection and all the possible assistance at the Due Mari clinic. Just yesterday morning the owners of the dog had shown up, who, in recent days, had been noticed wandering around Terralba with visible wounds on his neck and a long piece of skin hanging down his chest .
