Oristano is the "capital" of high bills in Italy : between electricity and gas, families need around 3,000 euros to cover the cost of utilities for an entire year , considering average consumption.

This is what emerges from the analysis conducted by SOStariffe.it and Segugio.it , which draw up the ranking of the Italian provinces with the highest expenditure for electricity and gas bills under the enhanced protection regime.

The survey, carried out in March 2023, also analyzes the savings obtainable by switching to the best offer on the free market . In Oristano, by adding up the bills for an entire year of electricity and gas, consumers in Oristano could save around 500 euros by opting for the transition to the free market.

In second place in the ranking is the city of Benevento , with approximately 2,974 euros needed to pay electricity and gas bills for an entire year.

In third place Sondrio with 2,941 euros per year.
