Time passes but old problems remain. Delays continue in the delivery of cloths for the disabled by the Oristano Local Health Authority. This time the one reporting the discomfort is a 33-year-old boy who looks after his elderly mother suffering from many pathologies including severe urinary and fecal incontinence.
«As happened previously, this time too we had to contact the prosthetic assistance office of the local health authority, but we did not find any particular availability - states the boy - I was immediately dismissed by an employee who told me that the girl who takes care of the delivery of clothes was not present, all accompanied by a smile that smacked more of mockery than of reassurance and seriousness".
The family reported that in recent months they made the problem known to the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni «who promptly intervened in this regard twice, once in October 2023 and then in March 2024 - says the boy - Now, however, we are at point boss. Even my various calls to the prosthetic assistance office of the ASL, to the management and to the Regional Health Unit were not enough. In order to obtain aids, you have to purchase them out of your own pocket, when instead they must be guaranteed by the national health system, at least for those who have no right and, above all, no need."
