Goodbye to propane gas, methane arrives in the city. Now there is a date to mark on the calendar: May 12th for Oristano a new energy era begins. The supply transition will happen in a single day, guaranteeing continuity of service to the 2,500 customers who have already signed a new contract and adjusted, where necessary, the internal systems.
Natural gas will arrive directly from the coastal depot of Higas to the companies of the Industrial Consortium through the consortium distribution network and in the city distribution network managed by Medea, promoting the decarbonization of consumption and providing the city and its economic system with a more convenient, sustainable and safe energy source than those in use. For those who have not done so (very few to tell the truth, considering that 90% of users have already completed the process) there will be no problem : citizens will have a few "extra" days to finalize the contract with a sales company of their choice and avoid the suspension of supply.
To facilitate the transition and clarify any doubts, Medea has set up an Info Point in Corso Umberto I 10 , where you can get information on active incentives and promotions. The company has made available to citizens connected to the network a contribution of up to 250 euros to cover any costs of adapting internal systems. Just over two weeks to the "metano-day" which should guarantee, in addition to the reduction of polluting emissions, also price stability.
