A young French tourist was hit while crossing the pedestrian crossing in Piazza Roma.

The accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. According to initial reports, the 16-year-old girl had started crossing the street without noticing the car's approach.

The Audi driver suddenly found it in front of him, perhaps hidden by one of the trees on the sidewalk, and was unable to avoid the impact.

The young woman fell to the ground and was immediately rescued by 118 emergency workers. She was taken to San Martino Hospital with a yellow code. Local police officers were also on site, carrying out surveys and reconstructing the accident.
