Perhaps he wanted a different kind of evening. He certainly didn't expect to end up arrested at the police station by the patrol officers. It was a rather eventful Monday evening for a 65-year-old man from Oristano who, with a few too many drinks under his belt, indulged in some excess. He was spotted by some patrol officers, on a routine patrol in the city center.

When the officers approached, the man allegedly suggested they have a drink, and then reacted rudely when they asked for his identification. He shouted and insulted others, then threatened, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense. According to the reconstruction, he also attempted to kick the officers, who then restrained him and took him to the police station. There, the 65-year-old continued to rampage, even striking some furniture. Assisted by Giuseppe Corronca (represented in court by his colleague Barbara Ibba), he appeared in court for a summary hearing: Judge Federica Colantonio validated the arrest and released him. The trial was adjourned until mid-May.
