Five young people, four of them minors, reported for an attempted theft in a shop in Oristano.
The group was surprised by a State Police patrol in the commercial establishment shortly before the raid, when the entrance door had already been forced open.
In addition to the complaint, the minors of the "gang" received - and it is the first time in the province of Oristano - an "oral warning", a measure recently introduced to combat youth distress.
With this provision, the police commissioner summons the minor, "together with at least one parent or another person exercising parental responsibility" and the Public Prosecutor at the Juvenile Court of the minor's place of residence is also informed of the summons.
The Police Headquarters itself explains that attention towards “youth distress” has been raised, also in light of other illegal acts involving very young people in recent weeks.
On September 23, for example, two minors were responsible for threats aggravated by the use of a knife and possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
