In Orgosolo a new mural pays homage to those who, by donating their organs, have given hope of life back to those who were suffering.

The work created by local artists Vincenzo Floris and Teresa Podda , with the patronage of the Associazione Sarda Trapiantati Odv and Cantine Orgosolo, appeared in the last few hours on the facade of the B&B MaRiMa in via Sant'Antonio. Accompanying it are the verses of the poet Kikissu Mereu, residents and tourists have not missed the opportunity to spread it on social media.

«We are honored to have given shape to this work – says Teresa Podda -, unfortunately over time we have lost several fellow villagers, the latest being the very young Giovanni Antonio Congiargiu, but despite the pain the families have found the strength to give their lives to those who were less lucky. Ours has always been a socially attentive community, we are happy with this initiative."

My colleague Vincenzo Floris: «The mural was also created to give strength and value to the work that the transplant recipients' association has been carrying out for years, in support of many. We welcomed the idea with great pleasure, which reflects on the great sense of solidarity and love."
