A showcase with its beauties, immersed in the seaside village of Stintino , open to the public to make known its cultural wealth. On 24 and 25 May 2025, the town will be transformed into an open-air museum thanks to Monumenti Aperti , the initiative that for years has promoted the enhancement of Sardinia's cultural heritage through the extraordinary opening of historical, artistic and environmental sites, including those not accessible to the public.
For the third consecutive year, the Municipality of Stintino participates in the program, offering citizens, visitors and tourists the opportunity to explore places that are symbols of its identity: from the Tonnara Museum, passing through the House of the Confraternity Madonna della Difesa and the Port Museum of the Latine Sails, the suggestive Nuraghe di Unia and the military stronghold Stretto Stintino.
New this year will be the adoption of the Statue of Peace (symbol against violence against women) by the Margherita High School of Castelvì di Sassari.
The visits will be accompanied by students and volunteers, protagonists of a path of active citizenship and rediscovery of one's roots, who will guide visitors through stories, anecdotes and insights, making the experience even more engaging.
The weekend will also feature collateral cultural initiatives : the re-enactment in historical military clothing by the ''Nel Vivo della Storia'' Association at the Caposaldo in Le Saline, the exhibition of archaeological finds from investigations at the Casteddu site (Stintino) curated by the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro in collaboration with the LAT (Archaeology and Territory Laboratory) of the University of Sassari. Confirmed again this year is the guided trek and internal visit to Torre Falcone by the Speleo Ambientale Sassari group, an association that will also curate the conference and photographic exhibition on the mines of Sardinia scheduled at the Mut on Saturday 24 May at 7 pm. «Participating in Monumenti Aperti is an important opportunity to strengthen the bond between our community and the territory, while at the same time promoting cultural and sustainable tourism even out of season», declared the Councilor for Culture and Tourism Marta Diana. The initiative is promoted by Imago Mundi OdV, with the patronage of the Municipality of Stintino and in collaboration with schools, teachers and local associations. Entrance to the monuments will be free. To participate in the Torre Falcone trekking, reservations are recommended at the number 3402744345.
