From the two-room apartment to the maxi villa with sea view, from the coast of Olbia to Stintino, passing through the archipelago of La Maddalena: undeclared income amounts to one million euros, and unpaid registration taxes to 10 thousand, for undeclared rents of more or less prestigious properties during the tourist season, discovered by the Guardia di Finanza of the provincial command of Sassari.

The undeclared assets came to light after 72 checks that the military define as "targeted and selective, on subjects characterized by the greatest risk of fiscal danger": the irregularities were found in over 90% of the cases.

The tax evaders were owners of properties rented to companies or private individuals and were unable to provide the financiers with any fiscal documents, or else they exhibited simple written agreements not registered with the Revenue Agency.

Moreover, there have been many cases of lease contracts duly stipulated and registered, but then not reported in the tax return.

The investigative activity of the Fiamme Gialle, as explained in a note, "has been aimed at properties ranging from widespread two-room apartments to buildings for commercial use or storage, up to prestigious properties that are rented for considerable amounts".

The checks, especially in the coastal towns, mainly concerned the municipalities of Sassari, Olbia, Porto Torres, Tempio Pausania, Valledoria, Trinità d'Agultu, Ozieri, Sorso, Sennori, Santa Teresa Gallura, La Maddalena, Castelsardo and Stintino.
