Once the fire has broken down, there is still an emergency between Atzara and Samugheo

New nightmare day in the woods between Atzara and Samugheo, with the flames starting again in the early afternoon and visible from several kilometers away. Ground teams are already operational on site, assisted by helicopters including the Superpuma.

Two Canadairs also flew to the area from the Olbia base.

Also yesterday the flames had broken out in the same area where 150 hectares of forest and cork oaks had been incinerated on 21 August.
