Olmedo, stabbed his brother seven times: sentenced to six years

The man who stabbed his brother in 2021 in Olmedo , near Alghero, has been sentenced. Yesterday in court in Sassari the sentence of six years of imprisonment, pronounced by the preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana, the same sentence requested by the prosecutor Angelo Beccu.

SS, 30 years old, at six in the morning two years ago, woke up his brother, with whom he lived together with his parents, and inflicted seven stab wounds on him, five in the head, one in the thigh and the other in the forearm, using the long weapon 36 cm and taken from the kitchen. Then he went to work on a nearby farm, changing his bloody clothes, left in a cupboard, with other clothes.

Within a few hours he was arrested by the police and taken to Bancali , where he is still detained, on charges of attempted murder. The man, defended by the lawyer Giampaolo Murrighile, was recognized, after a psychiatric evaluation requested by his lawyer, as partially mentally ill and with diminished capacity for understanding and will at the time of the facts.
