He was boarding at the port of Olbia , driving a refrigerator van , on board a ferry bound for Livorno. But in front of the Financiers engaged in anti-drug checks with the help of canine units, he showed signs of nervousness.

More in-depth checks were thus carried out, which allowed the military to find and seize 180 thousand euros in cash of suspicious origin.

Upon checking the Fiamme Gialle of the Olbia Group, the man, of Chinese nationality but resident in Sassari , declared that he was headed to Tuscany for work reasons.

However, his generic and contradictory answers convinced the military to start the searches. And so they turned out: 2,000 euros in cash that the man kept in his wallet, another 7,000 euros contained in a bag and, finally, in the cargo compartment, inside a cardboard box, with several "packages" wrapped in adhesive tape, 100, 50 and 20 euro banknotes, for an amount of over 165 thousand euros.

«The man – explain the Fiamme Gialle -, who did not provide useful elements to justify the possession of the large sum of money, turned out to be an employee of an individual company and has an income and asset profile that is absolutely incompatible with the sum transported. Therefore the cash was seized and the subject was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Tempio Pausania Court for the crimes of receiving stolen goods and money laundering. Investigations are still underway to verify the origin of the seized money."
