Summer in Sardinia follows a well-established pattern: crowded beach umbrellas, long lines at kiosks, and beaches crowded from the early hours . It's a well-known fact that mass tourism on the seaside has become oppressive for many.

This is why, increasingly, the itineraries recommended by guides and travel influencers push inland, in search of a dream vacation far from the chaos of the coast. Thus, places long hidden are revealed: freshwater pools, waterfalls, silent gorges, and glimpses where the only background noise, for centuries, was the slow trickling of water on the rocks.

In recent years, however, even these mystical sanctuaries of peace are being transformed into outdoor playgrounds. Hundreds of people—tourists from far away, often guided by social media—flood into pristine valleys with no respect for extremely fragile ecosystems.

And now even influencers are holding back: "It's better not to overexpose the sites."
