A trial for mistreatment that, according to the Prosecutor's Office, would have continued from 1984 to 2013. The couple lives in Olbia and is now the protagonist of a legal battle over a long series of harassment and violence that began forty years ago.
A pensioner is accused of mistreatment of his wife. According to prosecutor Gianmarco Vargiu, the victim was persecuted in every way, beaten, humiliated and threatened even with a knife pointed at her throat. The charge is serious, verbal and physical aggression are described.
The greatest humiliation, according to the Prosecutor's Office, would have been the total exclusion of the victim from the management of the family's assets and money. The pensioner is a civil party, represented by the lawyer Christian Cicoria, the defendant's examination in court is scheduled for next January.
