“In addition to the damage, many must also suffer insult, as the renewal of the license becomes an endless ordeal . It happened to a disabled citizen of Olbia who went to the competent offices of Sassari on September 30th, where, unfortunately, he ran into a complicated system and staff unwilling to help him. This citizen, after waiting for the opening of the office under the water because he was not allowed to immediately access the building, still today, has not obtained the renewal, despite having sent all the additional documentation , which unexpectedly it was requested that day, at the indicated email address ".

To report the affair is Roberto Li Gioi, regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement. Which continues:   "Furthermore, the three telephone numbers dedicated to the service from which he should have asked for information regarding the progress of his practice are impossible to contact as they are perpetually busy or unreachable".

"The medical commission for the renewal of driving licenses should have been operational since last October 15, however, to date, in the city of Olbia the service is still incomprehensibly not operational", adds Li Gioi. "The people of Gallura who must necessarily contact the local medical commissions (CML), for over two years, continue to be forced to go to Sassari or Nuoro to undergo a medical examination at the services of the local health companies that must evaluate the psycho-physical requirements ".

For this reason, the pentastellato councilor presented a motion that commits the President of the Region and the councilor for health to adopt with the utmost urgency every useful initiative to give full operation to the Local Medical Commission established at the former ASL of Olbia.

“It is not clear why on October 15th the commission, which should already be constituted, did not start working. This latest delay is a slap in the face to citizens who continue to have to endure a situation that denies them the right to mobility and in the case of road hauliers even the right to work ”.

"Whoever is responsible has the duty to take urgent action to return an indispensable service to the city of Olbia and the Gallura area".
