The conditions of Anatolij Chubais , the Russian oligarch hospitalized since Sunday at the Mater Olbia hospital where he was referred after the illness accused in Sardinia, are slowly improving.

The Italian intelligence services are dealing with the affair. And in the meantime, the procurator of Tempio , Gregorio Capasso, has heard the oligarch. The most accredited hypothesis at the moment is that Chubais may have been seized by the symptoms of a previous neurological disease, but the Prosecutor 's Office still wants to clarify and the hypothesis that Vladimir Putin's former trusted man may have been poisoned is not yet excluded.

The doctors would have confirmed the diagnosis on the illness from which Chubais had been caught a few days ago while he was in the Cala di Volpe resort : it is Guillain Barré syndrome. The man allegedly had paralysis in some parts of the body, limbs and face. However, the results of the analyzes carried out to definitively exclude the presence of poison in the body of the oligarch are expected.

This is stated by Ksenia Sobchak, host of Russian television and friend of Avdotya Smirnova, the wife of the Russian economist. "Anatoly is still in intensive care, his legs and arms are not working well, his eyes do not close, he has partial facial paralysis," the host wrote in her Telegram channel, stressing that she had obtained this information from Chubais's wife.

Guillain-Barrè syndrome is an autoimmune disease that attacks the nervous system and which in crises has, as a consequence, tingling in the feet and legs until the limbs are completely numb.

Chubais, on a collision course with Putin, had left Moscow in March without communicating it to the president as a sign of dissent from the military aggression against Ukraine. A choice certainly not appreciated, and many have accused him of treason.
