What happened to via della Resistenza in Olbia? The opposition municipal councilors of the Free Together group ask for it in an interpellation directed to the mayor, Settimo Nizzi.

The question is intended to know if, after the cancellation from the town toponymy, "a street, a square or a park have already been identified to give the right emphasis to the Resistance".

Located until 2019 in via Redipuglia, in the area dedicated to the War Memorial, via della Resistenza, the councilors write, "it was suppressed on the occasion of the reconstruction of the seafront, along which two new toponymic names were assigned, indicated in the personality by Francesco Cossiga and Bettino Craxi, and to date the denomination has not yet been attributed ".

The four councilors, Eugenio Carbini, Davide Bacciu, Paola Tournier and Diego Sanciu, ask to clarify "if the administration has included in its programmatic agenda, the assignment of the value of the Resistance in the municipal toponymy".

This, the signatories of the interpellation argue, also in light of the favorable intention expressed by the mayor, for which the cancellation was only suspended, in response to the request of the Anpi Olbia - Tempio which, in October 2020, asked the mayor to maintain the title of via della Resistenza "in a portion of the city visible to the citizen and the visitor". Because, wrote the Anpi, "one cannot put an ideal and historical symbol such as that of the Resistance in the background with respect to the characters of contemporary history, as there is an incomparable historical significance".
