A young pregnant woman fell ill while on board the Moby ferry Tommy, last night in the port of Olbia departing for Civitavecchia, and her pregnancy ended.

The alarm was raised around 10:30 p.m. The young woman, 26 years old, was travelling with her family: she started feeling ill shortly before the ship's departure, from the Isola Bianca dock . The call for help was made, first to the on-board staff and then to the intervention of 118, which took the woman by ambulance to the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Olbia.

The woman's health conditions are however good . The ferry's departure was delayed for several hours, until the green light was given by the judicial authorities. Border police officers, firefighters and Coast Guard men were also on site.
