Olbia, fire in the shipyard: dozens of boats destroyed

The extinguishing and monitoring operations of the fire that broke out inside the Nautica Acqua shipyard , in the industrial area of Cala Saccaia, in Olbia, continued throughout the night.

On site, teams of firefighters from Olbia, Arzachena and Tempio , plus special vehicles in reinforcement from Olbia airport and the SAPR unit that, with drones, monitored the temperature of the structure. The intervention will continue today, with the aim of cooling the premises, preventing the heat from damaging the adjacent warehouses.

The flames broke out in the early afternoon yesterday inside the shipyard which, according to initial reports, housed around forty boats, which went up in smoke.

There were no injuries or consequences for the workers, about ten, present at the construction site yesterday.
