Olbia, fire at the shipyard: damages for tens of millions, seizure ordered

The toll of the disastrous fire that broke out in the Nautica Acqua shipyard in Olbia is getting worse. According to the Fire Department's checks completed in the last few hours, due to the high temperatures , several load-bearing parts of the Cala Saccaia structure have collapsed .

Considering the value of the Olbia company and the destroyed boats, we are talking about damages of several tens of millions of euros . The cause of the fire, the data now seems certain, is accidental.

But the investigations coordinated by the prosecutor Gregorio Capasso and the pm Milena Aucone cannot exclude any hypothesis. The evidentiary seizure of the construction site has been ordered and it is now inaccessible , in fact the operations of the Fire Brigade continue.

The owners of Nautica Acqua posted: "No words to say. Only sadness and desperation. We thank everyone who called or wrote. We are fine, so to speak. Our work, our life ."
