The Court of Appeal of Sassari has confirmed the conviction of a 45-year-old man accused of sexually abusing his daughter (who was a child at the time) from 2007 to 2017.

The sentence for the alleged perpetrator of the violence - which took place in Olbia - is six years and six months in prison.

The man's wife was also sentenced (to three years and six months in prison) for not having reported her husband and having in fact abandoned the victim, leaving her in the hands of the alleged tormentor.

The loss of parental responsibility and the perpetual disqualification from any office relating to guardianship, curatorship and administration of support were also confirmed.

The investigations began after the complaint of the educators, to whom the child had confided everything. The victim confirmed her very serious accusations before the judges of the Court of Assizes of Sassari.

The couple is defended by the lawyer Angelo Merlini. The association Prospettiva Donna has joined the civil action, represented by the lawyer Delia Serra.
