The alarm goes off on a ferry arriving from the Peninsula, but it is a drill. The Olbia port of Isola Bianca and the waters in front of it were at the center of a massive deployment of forces that involved ground teams, naval units and helicopters.
A large deployment - equally engaged by the Maritime Directorate of Northern Sardinia, the Maritime and Air Border Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, the Fire Brigade Command, with the organic departments of bomb disposal experts, divers, flight departments and patrol boats of the Coast Guard - necessary to test the timeliness of interventions but also the coordination between the different bodies in the event of a real threat.
The operation began yesterday, first at anchor and then with the ferry docking at the quay.
