Olbia, attempts to rob a woman armed with a knife: arrested
The man, who also threatened a passerby, was identified thanks to the images from the video surveillance cameras
The Carabinieri of Olbia arrested the person responsible for an attempted robbery which took place in Via Torino, in the center of the Gallura city, just before Christmas.
This is a man of Nigerian origin who attacked a woman, grabbing her by the hair and then trying to steal her bag. The scene occurred under the eyes of a passerby, upon seeing whom the robber pulled out a knife, then threatened him and fled.
After the incident was reported, the military started investigations, listening to witnesses and viewing the images of some surveillance cameras in the area.
In recent days the criminal was finally identified with certainty: this resulted in his arrest, which also took place in the center of Olbia, and the execution of the precautionary measure of detention in prison at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Tempio Pausania.
