Very heavy charge for the Roman singer Elia Di Genova , 27 years old, aka "Elia17baby". The Prosecutor of Tempio , after having closed the investigations, requested and obtained an immediate judgment on the events that took place on August 14, 2022 on the beach of Marinella , in Olbia .

Di Genova is accused of having inflicted a stab in the back on Fabio Piu, 35, from Sassari . The prosecutors dispute the attempted murder, they believe that Di Genova struck Piu in ways that could have caused his death. The magistrates report that the singer hit the victim without even having taken part in the discussion and a quarrel that are at the basis of the story. The stab was inflicted while the victim was turned , with respect to the position of the Roman singer, and for this reason the prosecutors contest the aggravating circumstance of Di Genova for having taken advantage of the "impaired defence" . The Public Prosecutor's Office reports the consequences of the injury in the charge: "Impairments and consequent disabilities as unamendable outcomes of spinal cord damage".

The trapper , defended by the lawyers Pietro and Gianmaria Nicotera , has always rejected the accusations of the Prosecutor of Tempio , based on the investigations of the Carabinieri of Porto Rotondo.

The lawyer of the Piu family, the lawyer Jacopo Merlini, has announced the establishment of a civil action . The victim is undergoing rehabilitation , the outcome of which is unfortunately uncertain.

The gip Caterina Interlandi has set the date of the immediate trial for 22 March .
