A special relay race yesterday at the Fratelli Minori shelter in Olbia: Sardinian actress Caterina Murino flew from Paris to pick up Cip and deliver him to the French family who adopted him. Having arrived at the shelter four months ago, the puppy has become a social media sensation in Murino's arms, who is the subject of an Instagram story immortalizing him on the journey home.
Volunteers from the Lida Olbia branch, who run the shelter, recounted the Cagliari actress's gesture, a lifelong supporter of animal rights: "Caterina Murino left directly from Paris and braved exhaustion and miles to ensure that life had a safe, protected, and warm journey. She landed in Olbia at 8:40 a.m. and was back in the air at 11 a.m., ready to take Cip home to his new owners."
A few days ago, Sassari showgirl Elisabetta Canalis also visited the Olbia dog shelter. In recent years, she had adopted a puppy rescued by Lida and regularly returns to the shelter to support the association's work.
