Olbia, a shipyard on fire: a warehouse collapses
Large fire in Rudalza/Porto Rotondo: extensive damage, several boats destroyedA large fire broke out last night in Olbia, in the Rudalza/Porto Rotondo area, in a well-known shipyard. The alarm reached the operations room of the Sassari fire brigade around 2:15, with the immediate intervention of two teams from Olbia, one from Arzachena and an airplane.
The flames broke out both inside and outside the structure. The damage is extensive: a yacht of about 20 meters, several small and medium-sized inflatable boats, a crane truck and a van were completely destroyed . The structure of the shed is completely unusable and has collapsed due to the heat.
On site to coordinate the various teams the guard officer in close contact with the provincial commander Antonio Giordano. A malfunction of the electrical system of the shipyard is not excluded, but checks are underway .
