The wind assault does not stop . Legacoop Agroalimentare complains about the definition of 84 new projects for offshore plants, 23 on the Island , which in southern Sardinia alone would cost the jobs of 500 workers in the fishing sector, out of a total of 4 thousand.

The 84 projects would lead to a reduction in trawling of 21.6%. In fact, an area of 17,511 square kilometers would be removed from professional fishing activities, to the detriment of mariculture, in addition to significant impacts on other professional segments such as longlines and fixed nets. The data from a study carried out by the Consorzio Mediterraneo, a research structure adhering to Legacoop Agroalimentare.

"It is necessary to redefine the location of the plants and plan for their construction within the environmental protection areas ", comments Cristian Maretti , president of Legacoop Agroalimentare, "we believe that we must bury and protect the cables that transport electricity to land, so as to allow trawlers not to interrupt the coves in their vicinity . There must also be rules to allow small-scale artisanal fishing with fixed gear, within the areas occupied by wind farms".

Meanwhile, the public hearing of the Constitutional Court for the discussion of the appeal of legitimacy proposed by the Government against the regional law number 5 on the blocking of renewable energy plants for 18 months has been postponed to January 14. The so-called moratorium , however, was repealed by the Regional Council with the approval of the law on suitable areas (already published in the Buras, the official bulletin of the Region) and therefore the subject of the dispute could cease to exist . The decision was made with a decree on December 9.
