A bridging measure, specifically targeting diesel, to be implemented in the coming days. This is what the government is reportedly working on right now before freeing up more resources following the Ministry of Economy's calculations on the July VAT overrun for excise duties. This would also provide a signal before the red-stamped departure week at the beginning of August.
Meanwhile, in Sardinia too, the price of diesel has reached almost 2.20 euros per litre.
According to data published on Monday, July 27, by the Ministry of Transport's Fuel Observatory, the average price for self-service diesel fuel on the island is €2,192 per liter.
Gasoline is also close to the €2 mark. According to the Mimit Observatory, the average price for fuel on the island is €1,990 per liter.
